During my last weekly review, I dumped everything out of OmniFocus and instead went for the whole todo.txt thing.
The constraints are refreshing and made me rethink a lot of tasks I’ve kept in OmniFocus without doing anything about them, and more importantly forcing myself to rethink projects that I’d allowed to develop into sub-projects and sub-sub-projects.
But what I find myself enjoying the most – and this is definitely the nerd in my speaking* – is the jabber bot. I gave it a cute name and a cute icon and find myself going through that extra bit of trouble to use it to give me an overview of my tasks.
Right, I’m not going to recommend switching tools very often, but occasionally, when you feel bogged down, it’s not a bad idea.
Also: cute bots!
* Not just the nerd in me, but also the ‘I like cute teddybears’ guy in me that I’ve repressed for oh so long.
